IFLA satellite conference in Chicago

The IFLA Library Buildings and Equipment Section is holding a satellite conference in Chicago on August 10-11 at the Illinois Institute of Technology. The theme is “Collaborative Strategies for Successful Library Design and Innovative Use” and the program features projects from around the world, including the US, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Sweden and Spain. A highlight will be the workshop hosted by architect Elif Tinaztepe and Librarian Marie Ostergard (of the renowned Dokk 1 in Denmark). There will be many opportunities to network with colleagues responsible for a diverse range of library building projects. Whether you have completed a building project large or small, are do to start one or are just interested in library design, this conference is for you.
