CALA Midwest Chapter President’s Recognition Award Guidance

Purpose

The CALA Midwest Chapter President’s Recognition Award is established to honor and acknowledge outstanding contributions by chapter members. This award provides an opportunity to celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to the chapter in various capacities, whether or not they serve on chapter committees.

Award Benefits

  • Each recipient will receive a certificate of recognition.
  • Awardees will be highlighted on the CALA Midwest Chapter’s website

Eligibility

  • All current members of the CALA Midwest Chapter are eligible.
  • Nominees can be current members or non-members of chapter committees.

Nomination Process

Nomination

  • Any current CALA Midwest Chapter member can nominate another member.
  • Self-nominations are also accepted and encouraged.

Submission 

  • A completed nomination form.
  • A nomination statement (up to 500 words) detailing the nominee’s contributions, achievements, and impact on the chapter.
  • Optional supporting documents such as letters of recommendation or examples of the nominee’s work.

Selection Criteria

  • Positive influence on other members and the overall chapter community.
  • Significant contributions that have advanced the goals and initiatives of the chapter.
  • Evidence of leadership roles and initiatives taken within the chapter.
  • Introduction of new ideas, programs, or improvements that benefit the chapter.

We encourage all eligible members to participate in the nomination process, either by nominating deserving colleagues or by self-nominating. For more information or if you have any questions about the process, please contact the current chapter president.
