Call for Proposals:

Libraries are still in the middle of a digital revolution. We are still coping with the challenges posed to us by the seemingly unlimited possibilities of using information technologies for every aspect of our profession. We are now able to communicate and define our purpose in ways that were unheard of 20 years ago. We hope the theme: “Innovate! Advocate! Integrate! – Reinvigorating Your Library in a Digital Age.” illustrates the challenges posed to us in our continuing adventure as librarians in the digital world. We are responsible for reinvigorating the library, both as a place and as a virtual destination for online researchers.

This conference is for the Midwest Chapter members in large but we welcome other chapter members or any librarians to attend, either in-person or online.

If you would like to submit a proposal for the CALA Midwest conference, please fill out the online proposal form below. Deadline for submission is  April 8, 2016. Notification of proposal acceptance will be sent out the week of April 18, 2016.  Please contact  Lijun Xue lxue@madonna.edu or Yan He yh4@iuk.edu if you have any questions.
