Qi Chen

Dr. Qi Chen is a life CALA member for over 20 years. She earned her Master’s Degree in Education, a second Master’s degree in Library Information Science, and a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership in Higher Education. Currently, Dr. Chen works as the Library Director at Calumet College of St. Joseph. Prior to her current position, she had worked as a Library Director at Argosy University Chicago since 1998 and was promoted to be the Regional Library Director of Argosy University where she oversaw 9 major campus Libraries in the East Coast and supervised multiple projects for 19 campus libraries nationwide. Despite of her busy schedule, Dr. Chen has served on many CALA committees, including CALA president (2016-2017), CALA Executive member from 2015-2018, CALA Public Relations Committee, International Relations Committee, President of CALA Midwest Chapter, Mentor for new and young librarians, CALA Liaison to ALA Office of Diversity, Literacy, Outreach Services (ODLOS), CALA Representative to BALIS, JCLC 3d National Conference Steering Committee and several committees in Midwest Chapter.
