Call for Proposals for 2026 CALA Midwest Chapter Annual Conference

Hi CALA members and friends,

Please consider submitting a proposal for our CALA Midwest 2026 Conference on May 14, 2026 at 1:30 pm ET/12:30 CT! This year’s theme is Community and Connection: Centering Relationships in Library Work. We are looking for Lightning Talks and Full-length presentations. More details about these presentation types can be found in our submission form. Submissions are due April 6, 2026 and we will notify selected proposals by April 20. The annual conference is free and we welcome non-members to attend. You can register here.

We are also looking for volunteers to assist with evaluating proposals! Evaluators must be CALA members who are not submitting proposals to this year’s conference. Time commitment is about 2 hours total. Please contact Angel (angel.tang@colorado.edu) if you are interested!
