Call for proposals: 2021 MW Professional Development Virtual Conference
Dear CALA members,
I hope this email finds you healthy and safe.
I would like to invite proposals for the 2021 Midwest Professional Development Virtual Conference on behalf of the CALA MW Chapter. Our MW Professional Development Committee hosts the meeting (May 5, 2021, 1-4 pm CST) via Zoom. The purpose of this meeting is to provide an opportunity for Chinese American library staff to share their best practices and work experience.
The 2021 professional development conference topic is “When the future comes: the librarianship experience we have accumulated and its possibilities in the post-pandemic.” This year we may cover the following aspects of library services:
- Leadership;
- Public services and liaison;
- Technical services;
- Collection development;
- Technology;
- Cooperative activities;
- Management.
We welcome 20-minute lengths of presentation and from outside the Midwest Chapter. Please send your proposal to Anlin Yang (anlin.yang@wisc.edu) by April 23.
I wish you all the best and especially in health.
Best,
